Susi Johnston

An art historian and dealer, Susi describes herself as an “ad hoc scholar-at-large”. She earned a master’s degree in art history from St Andrews University in Scotland with a dissertation on Tibetan architecture. She speaks fluent Indonesian, and passable Balinese, and reads Balinese and Kawi (Old Javanese). Resident in Bali since 1995, Susi has authored numerous articles and books on Bali-related topics, and often gives lectures and educational presentations on various arts and cultural subjects.

Bruno Piazza

Bruno Piazza

Born in Milano and educated in Paris (Sciences Po), Bruno diverged dramatically from a path that would have led him into the maze of European bureaucracy and turned instead to Beauty. He became a fashion and lifestyle photographer, then a gallery owner specialising in European design and vintage branded luxury goods. Finally Bruno turned to Asian tribal art and ancient jewelry, and eventually moved to Indonesia in 1999 after numerous extended visits there, and elsewhere in Asia and Africa. Bruno could fairly be called a Renaissance Man, and a polygot, speaking fluent Italian, French, English and (passable) Indonesian.
