why we have such a strange name

Macan Tidur means “sleeping tiger” in Indonesian.

The Macan Tidur logo was found on an antique ivory playing card from Hindustan and chosen as a logo for the simple reason that the image is beautiful and enigmatic. It depicts a tiger sleeping beneath an umbrella in front of a rising sun.

In the past we used only a logo and no name at all. Indonesians started calling the business Macan Tidur and eventually the name stuck.
